Chapel Offerings

A worthy organization or cause is chosen annually to receive chapel offerings that are designated to make a difference in the lives of people beyond our local ministries. This school year, our Hearts for Jesus project is The Lutheran Malaria Initiative (LMI). The LMI is a partnership of organizations including Lutheran World Relief and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod who are committed to mobilize U.S. Lutherans in the global effort to eliminate malaria deaths in Africa by 2015. January offerings collected $527.35 for this cause! Thank YOU to all students, staff and families who contributed!

February Chapel offerings went to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Pennies for Patients" program, which exists to help children suffering blood cancers. Each child was given a Parent Letter and an individual collection box to collect their coins at home. Students did an absolutely outstanding job in February and raised $1743.58 for this cause.

In March, the Student Council elected to impact an organization even closer to home.  The Center for Courageous Kids, located in nearby Scottsville, KY is a camp for chronically ill and disabled children.  It provides a safe, fun and loving environment for children and their families to experience "summer camp" as it was intended.    Students are excited to keep giving back to their community and raised $527.13 for the camp!

Chapel offerings in April will go to the 2 year old Preschool room, which is a new program for Holy Trinity.
