Fundraising Opportunities

Holy Trinity's PTO leads our fundraising efforts on behalf of the school. Parents, under the supervision of the Director, decide appropriate fundraising efforts that assist in keeping tuition fees as low as possible. All parents are members of the PTO and are expected to support the fundraising efforts selected to benefit the needs of the school. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church & School is a 501 (3)(c) eligible organization.

Parents, grandparents and friends of HTLS are asked to consider a contribution to help fund the school's ongoing academic improvements. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans encourages member and associate member contributions that are matched to benefit Lutheran school education. Matching fund forms allow HTLS parents the opportunity to have their contributions matched. Forms are available throughout the year through the school office. A Thrivent representative is always available to assist families in the purchase of financial and insurance policies that will benefit their families and make them eligible.

Ink Cartridges

HTLS receives a cash rebate for empty cartridges turned in through Staples. We collect them here and send them in, so if you have empty cartridges, please drop them off at the school office.

HTLS has registered to participate in an “online shopping mall”. When used, the school will receive a percentage commission. This “shopping mall” will also allow parents, grandparents, and family friends to credit the percentage commission directly into a tuition credit account for a specific HTLS student. This site can also be used by our teachers for ordering class supplies.  The school’s ID # is 1879.  Check it out and register your family at:

We collect soda cans and other aluminum, which is picked up and the proceeds are designated to the school library so please remember to place your scrap aluminum in our O.S.C.A.R container.  If you recycle at home, you can save your cans separately and drop them off anytime.

Boxtops for Education

Please save Boxtops for Educations labels from General Mills, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury and other Products.

Fall Boxtops were just mailed in! We earned nearly $400.  The spring turn in date is March 1, 2016.  Turn these in to your child's teacher--they are worth 10¢ to HTLS. Dimes really add up!

Kroger Community Rewards

Register your Kroger card number and they'll take care of the rest! For every dollar you spend on groceries, Kroger will donate 4% back to us! Now, that doesn't seem like much, but when 100 people each spend $500 a month on groceries, that's $2,000!!  Check with the office if you need help enrolling!

Monthly Restaurant Nights

HTLS participates in restaurant nights with Zaxby's about once every six weeks.   These nights are a great opportunity for parents to have fellowship together and with their child(ren)'s classmates.

Designate GoodSearch as your search engine and “Holy Trinity Lutheran School, Bowling Green“ as your charity of choice. Each time you search online using this search engine HTLS will earn at least 1 cent …doesn’t sound like much until we get everyone in our “family” and all our friends to do the same. It doesn’t cost you anything except a moment to set this as your Search Engine and designate HTLS as your charity choice and pennies begin to add up with each and every search.

SCRIP Gift Card Sales

The Great Lakes Scrip card center is a gift card distributor that we work with to earn money for HTLS.  We place about 6 orders per year. There are hundreds of vendors that participate in the program as you can see from the Vendor List (link below).  It works like this:  you purchase a gift card - say a $100 card to Lowe's- it costs you $100 and you will receive a $100 card to Lowe's, but they have a 4% return, so it only costs HTLS $96, and the other $4 is profit.  The percentages are different for all vendors but every bit helps.  We encourage family's to purchase cards throughout the year for stores they frequent and for stores where they may give gifts - perhaps $10 Starbucks cards to all your co-workers at Christmas time, for example, or i-Tunes cards for neices and nephews birthdays.  It takes minimal planning, and with no "extra" costs to you.   Call or email the school office to order!

Smart Cards are currently for sale for $20 each.  About half of each sale comes  back to HTLS.
