Fourth Grade

The fourth grade math curriculum includes fractions, decimals, and dividing by two digit numbers.  Grammar becomes more detailed with parts of speech and diagramming sentences.  Kentucky History is an exciting additional unit in social studies that the students enjoy.  It includes an entire week of dressing in costume, building a log cabin and fort, cooking and eating pioneer foods and sharing the experience with other students, parents and visitors.  Many locations of this history unit are visited in the Spring.  The fourth grade students take part in the off campus cross-country walking course accumulating miles toward their goal in Pysical Education.  Accelerated Reading is an integral part of the fourth grade curriculum.
